Wilbur Franklin MacFarland passed away February 1, 2021 at Princeton-Plainsboro Medical Center at the age of 87.
Wilbur was born in Princeton in 1933 to a family who called Princeton home for several generations. He served in the Army and was stationed at the 7th Army Headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany.
He had a long career with S.T. Peterson Construction until his retirement. For leisure, Will was an avid ice hockey player and part of the Princeton Hockey Club. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golf.
Will leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Suzanne MacFarland, as well as sons Bruce of West Windsor, Richard of Hamilton, and Jeffrey of Wake Forest, North Carolina. He is also mourned by three daughters-in-law – Terry, Barbara, and Catherine, and his grandchildren – Hailey, Kyle, Emily, Jacob, and Katelyn MacFarland.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mather-Hodge Funeral Home in Princeton. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Princeton Cemetery.
