The American Irish Association of Woodbridge will host St. Patrick’s Day ceremonies with the symbolic raising of the national flag of Ireland and a rendition of the Irish national anthem to the salute of traditional Irish bagpipes at 9 a.m. March 14 outside of Woodbridge Town Hall, 1 Main St., at the flag pole.
The St. Patrick’s Day ceremonies are in place of the 49th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which was cancelled due to restrictions imposed by the State of New Jersey as part of the ongoing battle to control the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mayor John E. McCormac; Ed McSherry, president of the American Irish Association of Woodbridge; members of the American Irish Association of Woodbridge; and members of the Woodbridge Municipal Council are expected to attend.
Social distance protocols will be followed. Masks are required.
