A Hopewell Valley Central High School (HVCHS) performance of the musical “Little Women” is set to occur in early June.
The performance will be streamed on June 4 at 7 p.m. and June 5 at 7 p.m. According to the release, the performance will be streamed through a filmed on stage experience with the performance limited to only two shows.
Tickets are $20 per household at www.showtix4u.com and go on sale on May 21.
From the beloved book based on Louisa May Alcott’s life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March.

America. This is sure to be a night filled with emotions high and heartbreaking and a lifting of the spirit. The powerful score soars with the sounds of a youth and a generation finding its voice, according to a release.
The musical, “Little Women,” with a book by Allan Knee, lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, and music by Jason Howland, features the inspirational and lovely songs “Astonishing” “The Fire Within Me” and “Five Forever”.
Led by HVCHS’s Katie Rochon, director of theater, and a cast of talented performing arts students, Hopewell Valley thespians receive numerous awards every year. The fall play, “The Importance of Being Earnest” earned 11 nominations from the Montclair Theatre Night “Foxy Awards”.
All of the nominations were received in the category of Virtual Play with Cinematic Editing. Nominations were received for: Best Period Costuming (Jordan Brennan), Best Actor, Caleb Briggs (Jack), Elliot Block (Algernon), Brad Modzelewski (Jack), Cameron Scott (Algernon); Best Actress, Olivia Levin (Cecily), Sachi Siyal (Gwendolyn), Sophia Parsons (Lady Bracknell), Molly Higgins (Cecily).
Both casts were nominated for best performance by an ensemble and overall best production. All performances will be streamed through a filmed on stage experience with performances limited to only two shows, according to the Music, Theatre Parents Association (MTPA).
