On World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, join East Brunswick Public Library, Plainsboro Public Library and South Brunswick Public Library for this Asian-American discrimination awareness program.
The goal is to create a venue where people can share their experiences, thoughts and fears, in addition to resources and ways to handle the discrimination faced by the so-called “model minority.”
Asian-American discrimination can be insidious and easy to overlook, but it is very real; the goal is to educate communities on how to identify and prevent it.
A series of panelists will speak on different aspects of the subject, such as the impact of rhetoric, or what to do when you become a target or audience of racial discrimination.
Each will be followed by a conversation segment in which the audience is invited and encouraged to participate by asking questions or sharing their own views and experiences.
