Manalapan Recreation is sponsoring a theater group whose members will perform a musical review of the best songs on Broadway.
The Misfit theater group of Manalapan will perform “Waiting for Schlotsky,” which is about a theater group looking to get hired by a talent agent.
“Waiting for Schlotsky” will be performed on the great lawn in the Manalapan Recreation Center on July 17-18 and July 24-25, according to a press release.
On June 19, the Manalapan Arts Council will sponsor a Little Rockers concert specifically for ages 2 to 7. On July 16 there will be a car show, fireworks and a performance by the Crazy Eights. On Aug. 13, a Billy Joel tribute band will perform. All events will take place on the great lawn at the recreation center.

The Freehold Borough public schools will be participating in the 2021 Summer Food
Service Program from June 28 through Aug. 12 (closed July 5).
This is a federal program of the Food and Nutrition Services, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The program provides all children 18 years of age and under with the same free meal in accordance with a menu approved by the state agency, according to a press release from the school district.
The USDA, its agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, and reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights
activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by the USDA.
Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program
information should contact the agency (state or local) where they applied for benefits.
Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact the USDA through the Federal Relay Service at 800-877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English, according to the press release.
