ABC’s new series, The Wonder Years, will premiere Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 8:30 ET/PT. Inspired by the beloved award-winning series of the same name, this is a coming-of-age story set in the late 1960s that takes a nostalgic look at a Black middle-class family in Montgomery, Alabama, through the point of view of imaginative 12-year-old Dean. With the wisdom of his adult years, Dean’s hopeful and humorous recollections show how his family found their “wonder years” in a turbulent time. The series stars Don Cheadle, narrating the series as adult Dean Williams, Elisha “EJ” Williams, Dulé Hill, Saycon Sengbloh, Laura Kariuki, Julian Lerner, Amari O’Neil, and Milan Ray.
CBS premieres the new season of NCIS on Monday, Sept. 20, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, followed at 10 p.m. ET/PT by the new series premiere of NCIS: HAWAI’I. Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harman) and the NCIS team are back in action for a 19th season, investigating crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties from murder and espionage to terrorism. The successful television series brand continues on the seductive shores of the Aloha State with NCIS: HAWAI’I, where the first female Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor, Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey), has thrived and risen through the ranks by equal parts confidence and strategy. Together with her unwavering team of specialists, they balance duty to family and country while investigating high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security and the mysteries of the sun-drenched island paradise itself. The new series also stars Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Tori Anderson and Kian Talan.
Hallmark Channel presents its annual Fall Harvest programming event, with six original movie premieres, starting with Roadhouse Romance on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Country music fan Callie (Lauren Alaina) is determined to continue her late grandfather’s legacy. While TV director Luke (Tyler Hynes) is in town, he teaches her that sometimes it’s best to look forward instead of back. The following Saturday, Sept. 18, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, it’s the premiere of Raise a Glass to Love. Aspiring Master Sommelier Jenna (Laura Osnes) returns to her family vineyard to study and is intrigued by the natural methods of the handsome new, Argentinian winemaker, Marcelo (Pablo Di Pace).
