When October arrives, a new exhibit will take place inside the Gourgaud Gallery (GGC) called Small Paintings.
The show will be on exhibit from Oct. 1-25 inside of Town Hall, 23 N. Main St. People will be able to view the show weekdays in October from 9 a.m. to 3p.m.
The show will consist of unframed, matted, small-scale paintings ranging in price from $25 to $75. No piece will be larger than 11 inches by 14 inches.
The gallery features a new exhibit each month, open to all. The gallery also offers musical soirees, poetic and dramatic readings, film screenings, lectures and classes.
The GGC is run by volunteers interested in the arts. GGC is always looking for additional volunteers to staff the committee, whose purpose is to oversee the operation and generally run the Gallery.
According to the gallery, any member of the committee does not need an art backgroun, but merely an interest in art, the ability to give some time to the operation, and a desire to see the Gallery and the Arts continue to thrive in Cranbury.
As part of a non-profit Cranbury Arts Council, The Gourgaud Gallery donates 20% of art sales to the Cranbury Arts Council and its programs that support arts in the community. Checks made out to Cranbury Arts Council, or cash, are accepted as payment.
