A single car crash on Route 33 resulted in charges of driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and careless driving being filed against a 35-year-old East Windsor man in the incident, which was reported at 9:36 p.m. Oct. 11. The man’s car left left the roadway and struck several small trees and some bushes. He was not injured, but he allegedly showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests, according to reports.
A 43-year-old West Windsor woman was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle after police investigated an occupied car in the Target parking lot on Route 571 at 10:40 p.m. Oct. 7. The woman allegedly showed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests, according to police.
A 27-year-old New Brunswick man whose car was observed weaving on Route 130 near Old Cranbury Road was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, refusal to submit to a breath test, making an improper turn and failure maintain his lane of travel in the incident, which was reported at 1 a.m. Oct. 9. The driver allegedly showed signs of impairment, but he refused to submit to a breath test, police said.
