Lawrence Township voters returned incumbent Township Councilmen Christopher Bobbitt and James Kownacki to serve on the governing body in the Nov. 2 General Election.
Bobbitt and Kownacki, both Democrats, ran unopposed for re-election and will serve four-year terms on the Lawrence Township Council. The Republican Party did not field candidates.
Bobbitt received 4,314 votes and Kownacki earned 4,309 votes, as of press time.
Bobbitt was running for his second, full four-year term and Kownacki was seeking his fifth term on the Township Council. Bobbitt was appointed to fill a vacancy in 2015 and won a full term in 2017.
The two Lawrence Township councilmen will be sworn into office at the council’s reorganization meeting in January.
The election results are unofficial until the votes are certified by Mercer County.
