MILLSTONE – Republican newcomers Eric Davis and Tara Zabrosky have won their first three-year terms on the Township Committee in Millstone Township. The terms will run from January 2022 through December 2024.
According to the results posted online by the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office as of Nov. 8, Zabrosky received 3,082 votes and Davis received 3,023 votes in the election. Democrat Raymond Dothard received 1,089 votes.
The results are unofficial until they are certified by the county. The election was held with vote by mail ballots; with early in-person voting on nine days in late October; and with in-person voting on Nov. 2.
The terms that were available are currently held by Republicans Gary Dorfman and Nancy Grbelja. Neither Dorfman nor Grbelja sought re-election and their terms will expire on Dec. 31.
Davis and Zabrosky will officially be sworn in as members of the governing body at Millstone Township’s annual reorganization meeting in January. With their victory, Republicans will continue to hold all five committee seats.
Davis is the chairman of the Millstone Township Environmental Commission, which he has chaired since 2007. He has been a member of the commission since 2002.
In his professional career, Davis is the co-owner and vice president of GWS Environmental Contractors, an environmental remediation services company, and BEnvironmental Investigations, which provides soil boring and well drilling services.
“I would like to thank the residents of Millstone who exercised their right to vote on Nov. 2,” he said. “I am honored to have been elected to represent (Millstone’s residents) on the Township Committee and I look forward to working with my fellow residents and local, county and state officials to make Millstone the best place to live in New Jersey.”
Since 2004, Zabrosky has served as a member of the Millstone Township Environmental Commission.
The commission members review applications that are scheduled to be considered by the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Zabrosky has been a managing partner of a consulting engineering firm based in Millstone Township that specializes in providing engineering services related to building systems for the past 10 years.
For 15 years, she was a senior engineer at Ethicon Inc., a Johnson and Johnson company that performed research and development on products used in the market today.
“I would like to thank everyone who voted and supported me in my campaign for Township Committee,” Zabrosky said. “I look forward to working with the current members of the Township Committee, as well as my running mate, Eric Davis.
“I would like to thank Mayor Gary Dorfman and Deputy Mayor Nancy Grbelja for their many years of service to the township and I wish them well in their future endeavors,” she said. “I am proud I will be representing the residents of Millstone Township and especially the families with school age children in our community.”
