Nancy Thomson, 85, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away November 1, 2021 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. Nancy was born September 1, 1936 in Scranton, PA to the late Karl and Olive Rice. Nancy worked for many years as an aide in the Hillsborough, NJ school system. After moving to Point Pleasant, NJ, she worked many years for the Point Pleasant school system as well as for Briggs Transportation as a bus aide, until she and her husband retired to Port Charlotte, Florida 17 years ago.
Nancy was predeceased by her son Alan Thomson of Flagtown, NJ on August 5, 2021.
Nancy is survived by her husband and high school sweetheart David F. Thomson, to whom she was married for 65 years. She is also survived by her son Mark Thomson and his wife Lisa of Brick, NJ, grandchildren Karl Thomson of Flagtown, Josh Thomson of Toms River, Dylan Thomson of Vermont, Krista Moeller of Bahrain, and Timothy Thomson of Brick. Nancy is also survived by her brother-in-law and his wife William and Priscilla Thomson of Punta Gorda, FL and their children Debbie Thomson and Susan Thomson of Florida, and William Thomson and his wife Phyllis of Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ. A memorial gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
