A 51-year-old Trenton man who ignored a red traffic signal and crashed into another car at the intersection of Route 571 and Route 535 was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to observe a traffic signal, being an unlicensed driver, having an uninsured vehicle, having an unregistered vehicle and obstructing traffic in the Nov. 2 incident.
Reportedly driving without turning on his car’s headlights resulted in charges of driving under the influence being leveled against a 34-year-old Monmouth Junction resident who was stopped by police on Route 133 at 2:45 a.m. Nov. 5. He was also charged with careless driving, reckless driving, failure to turn on the headlights and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
A 27-year-old East Windsor woman was charged with shoplifting and disorderly conduct at the T-Mobile store on Route 130 for allegedly picking up a cell phone and leaving the store without paying for it in an incident that occurred Nov. 7. A police officer was called to the store Nov. 10 after she went back to the store. The officer stopped her outside of the store, and she began to cause a disturbance and shouted profanities in public, police said..
