Victoria Caruso of Freehold was among the five University of Scranton, Pa., students who received Excellence in STEM Program Sanofi U.S. Summer Research Awards, which provided support for the students’ independent research projects. Victoria is majoring in biology. She is working with her faculty mentor Amelia Randich, assistant professor of biology, on her research project entitled “Growth of diverse Alphaproteobacteria.”

Brianna Cucinelli of Morganville has been named to the Academic Honors list at Fairleigh Dickerson University, Florham, for the spring semester 2021. Brianna graduated cum laude majoring in marketing. She is working toward an MBA in pharmaceutical management at the Silberman College of Business. Brianna is the daughter of Robert and Bernadette Cucinelli.

Mark Tuccillo of Manalapan was among the University of Scranton, Pa., Kania School of Management students who completed a for-credit internship during the summer of 2021. He completed an internship with WithumSmith+Brown. Mark is an accounting major who will graduate in 2022.

New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, N.Y., is recognizing medical students who serve on the College of Osteopathic Medicine’s student organizations, including Gianluca DiUbaldi of Manalapan, who is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists; and Himani Jani of Marlboro, who is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Occupational and Preventative Medicine and the Student American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C., recognized nearly 350 students during its in-person Summer 2021 commencement ceremony, held Aug. 6 at the HTC Center. Among the graduates was William Scherer of Freehold, a recreation and sport management major.

Taylor Sandin of Freehold graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic’s main campus in Davenport, Iowa, on Oct. 22, 2021.
