METUCHEN – Metuchen Town Plaza was transformed into a Winter Market of fun.
The Metuchen Downtown Alliance (MDA) welcomed shoppers with a sign asking them to “Shop and Enjoy Our Downtown” on Dec. 4.
Shoppers enjoyed a variety of artisans and children enjoyed making crafts with Friends of the Metuchen Library. Guests were able to take photos at a selfie station featuring the Grinch in support of the Metuchen Food Pantry.
The MDA has a number of upcoming holiday events.
Next up: Downtown Caroling from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 11.
Love it Or List it – Gingerbread House Edition – on Dec. 11. For those interested in competing, gingerbread houses must be submitted by 2 p.m. at What’s The Scoop, 457 Main St. Voting will take place from 3-6 p.m. Everything but the board/pan must be 100% edible. Materials may be homemade or store bought.
Twas’ the Weekend Before Christmas – Dec. 18 – for last minute shopping in downtown Metuchen. Navesink Brass, a quintet, will play holiday carols and songs.
New Year’s Eve Party on the Plaza – from 5-8 p.m. on Dec. 30 – returns to the Town Plaza with a laser light show, photo booth, ball drop, and confetti cannons.
