Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal and Northern New Jersey has been selected by Freehold Subaru, Freehold Township, as its hometown charity for the annual “Share the Love” event.
When an individual purchases or leases a new vehicle at Freehold Subaru now through Jan. 3, Subaru of America will donate $250 to BBBSCNNJ or one of four other national organizations selected by the purchaser, and Freehold Subaru will donate an additional $50 to BBBSCNNJ.
This is the eighth year BBBSCNNJ has been selected as a beneficiary. All funds raised through this event help to support and expand BBBSCNNJ’s one-to-one youth mentoring programs, according to a press release.
“Programs like Big Brothers Big Sisters that provide valuable mentoring for children and teens create a positive impact throughout our community and we are happy to support the organization again. The Share the Love campaign helps spread the word about their programs and the need for more people to step up and volunteer as Bigs,” General Manager Steve Boyce said.
The Kurlander Group, led by Alan Kurlander and affiliated with Coldwell Banker Realty in Marlboro-Manalapan, has closed and is expected to a close a record 230 home sales by year’s end, in spite of a shortage of housing inventory in Monmouth County.
“Monmouth County has remained in high demand during 2021, especially from buyers from New York City and urban areas of New Jersey who are drawn to owning homes with more living space, larger yards and close proximity to Jersey shore amenities,” said Kurlander.
Kurlander and his team placed under contract and closed approximately $300 million in home sales for 2020-21, according to a press release. Kurlander is a member of the NJ Realtors Distinguished Sales Club. He has been recognized over the years as one of the Top 250 Realtors in America for units sold and dollar volume by the Wall Street Journal/Real Trends.
Contributing greatly to the Kurlander Group’s outstanding year were sales associates Susan Schneid, Danielle Lazzaro, William DelQuaglio, Patricia Buccheri, Melanie Herbert, Ian Zucker and Shari Ryan, according to the press release.
