A Trenton resident who worked as a cashier at the Wegmans grocery store on Nassau Park Boulevard was charged with shoplifting for failing to charge an acquaintance for a package of crab legs and a strip steak when the acquaintance went to her register Oct. 20, according to police allegations. She was released, pending court action in West Windsor Municipal Court.
A Hamilton Township man was charged with shoplifting Oct. 11 after he allegedly selected two LEGO sets, valued at more than $300, and scanned a barcode for a $5 item at the self checkout register at Target on Nassau Park Boulevard. He was released, pending court action in Mercer County Superior Court.
A Manalapan man whose Lincoln sport utility vehicle struck the rear of a car that was stopped for a red traffic light on Route 1 at Washington Road was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of heroin and possession of hypodermic needles on Oct. 18. He was released, pending court action in Mercer County Superior Court.
A Plainsboro Township man who fell asleep behind the wheel of his Chevrolet sport utility vehicle on Harrison Street at Route 1 was charged with driving while intoxicated on Nov. 2. A police officer found the SUV in the left-turn-only lane, with several cars stopped behind it. The SUV did not move when the light turned green, according to reports. After waking the driver, police determined that he was intoxicated, according to the allegations. He was released, pending court action in West Windsor Municipal Court.
A Camden woman was charged with shoplifting for allegedly taking a Michael Kors jacket from the Burlington store on Nassau Park Boulevard Nov. 5. Police responded to a shoplifting-in-progress call and found her on the other side of the shopping center, still in possession of the jacket, according to reports. She was also found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest from Camden County. She was released, pending court action in Camden and West Windsor municipal courts.
A Trenton man was charged with shoplifting for allegedly concealing two bottles of tequila inside a bag of chips that he had purchased at the Wegmans grocery store on Nassau Park Boulevard Nov. 8. He was found to have an outstanding warrant from Trenton, and was turned over to Trenton police on the warrant.
