BORDENTOWN – The New Jersey Transit Police Department’s Office of Emergency Management, together with state, county and local partners, will conduct a training exercise at the Bordentown Station this weekend.
The drill, which will begin at 8 a.m. on June 4, will gauge responses to a simulated transportation incident, and will take approximately three hours to complete.
There will be no impact to River line light rail service. Residents and customers are advised that they will see an increased presence of police and emergency personnel in the area of Bordentown Station.
In addition to New Jersey Transit Police Department’s personnel, Bordentown City Fire, Bordentown City Police, Bordentown City Office of Emergency Management (OEM), Bordentown Township Fire, Bordentown Township Police, Bordentown Township OEM, Bordentown emergency medical services, Burlington County OEM and the New Jersey Department of Transportation will all participate in the training exercise.
The New Jersey Transit Police Department regularly conducts multiple drills and training sessions simulating various transportation scenarios throughout the statewide system.
