The Manalapan Police Department has reported three recent incidents that involved private vehicles.

On May 15 at 8:30 a.m., a Manalapan resident reported that sometime during the overnight hours between May 14-15, an unknown individual forced entry into a garage at a Gristmill Drive residence and stole a 2021 dirt bike that was valued at $6,500. Patrolman Charles Alaimo handled the report. The incident is pending further investigation.

On May 15 at 7:38 p.m., a Manalapan resident reported that an unknown individual slashed three of the four tires on a vehicle sometime on May 14 at an Oakland Mills Road residence. The estimated damage caused as a result of the incident is $1,000. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano handled the report. The incident is pending further investigation.

On May 15 at 9:03 p.m., a Manalapan resident reported that unknown individuals entered an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in a driveway on Precedent Place and retrieved the garage door opener. After making entry into the home, the individuals fled the scene after being confronted by the homeowner. Nothing was reported stolen as a result of the incident. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis handled the report. The incident is pending further investigation.
