A Lawrenceville man has been selected for the Television Academy Foundation Internship Program.
Cole Giacobbe is one of just 40 students chosen by Television Academy members from across the country for the 2022 summer program. The Foundation provides over 40 eight-week, paid internships annually at top Hollywood studios and production companies to college students nationwide.
Giacobbe is currently a senior at Chapman University in Orange, Calif., majoring in screenwriting. He will be interning remotely this summer in the scripted television development department at Pine Tree Entertainment Ltd., according to a press release through the Television Academy Foundation.
Pine Tree Entertainment is Bill Prady’s – executive producer of The Big Bang Theory – production company in Hollywood, Calif.
Giacobbe attended The Wilberforce School in Princeton.
“I feel honored to have been selected for this internship through the Television Academy Foundation,” Giacobbe said. “It is humbling to be working with such amazing professionals in an environment as prestigious as this. It feels like the first step into something really exciting.”
The Internship Program also provides professional development sessions with leaders in the television industry and customized seminars covering personal brand building and navigating the job market ahead for participating students. Interns also become lifelong members of the Foundation’s alumni family giving them access to events and networking opportunities as they build their careers in the industry.
