The Manalapan Police Department has reported the following incidents which recently occurred in the community:

On July 20 at 8:10 a.m., a Manalapan resident reported that an unknown individual entered an unlocked vehicle during the overnight hours of July 19 while the vehicle was parked at a
Foxcroft Drive residence. No items of value were reported stolen. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report.

On July 20 at 10:20 a.m., a Manalapan resident reported that an unknown individual entered an unlocked vehicle during the overnight hours of July 19 while the vehicle was parked at a Montreal Woods Court residence. No items of value were reported stolen. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report.

On July 20 at 5:40 p.m., a Manalapan resident reported that an unknown individual attempted to gain entry to a locked vehicle parked in the driveway of a West Canadian Woods Road residence during the overnight hours. The incident was captured on video
surveillance. The suspects fled in a dark colored sport utility vehicle. Patrolman
Mantas Stanionis handled the report.

On July 21 at 7:21 p.m., a Manalapan resident reported that an unknown individual entered an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a Silver Leaf Way residence. The individuals fled the scene on foot. A pair of sunglasses, valued at $220, was reportedly
removed from the vehicle. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report.

On July 21 at 8:14 p.m., a Manalapan resident reported that an unknown individual burglarized a Hancock Lane residence between 10:30 a.m. and 8:14 p.m. and removed various items (unknown value). Patrolman Mantas Stanionis handled the report.

On July 22 at 8:11 a.m., a Manalapan resident reported that unknown individuals entered an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a Pease Road residence during the overnight hours and removed a wallet containing credit cards and identification. Patrol Officer Jean Letts handled the report.

On July 22 at 8:49 a.m., a Manalapan resident reported that unknown individuals entered an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of an Ivanhoe Drive residence at 3:40 a.m. and removed items that were subsequently located. Patrolman William Dutton handled the report.

On July 22 at 6:18 p.m., a Manalapan resident reported that an unknown male attempted to gain entry to a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a Gramercy Lane residence. The vehicle was locked and no access was gained. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report.

On July 22 at 6:19 p.m., a Manalapan resident reported that an unknown male attempted to gain entry to a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a Lamb Lane residence. The vehicle was locked and no access was gained. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report.

On July 26 at 7:37 a.m., employees of a Park Avenue business reported that unknown individuals removed catalytic convertors from a vehicle. The items were valued at approximately $3,000. The theft occurred during the overnight hours of July 25. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report.

On July 26 at 9 p.m., a Manalapan reported that unknown individuals entered a Notting Hill Court residence and removed several items (value unknown at this time). Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report.

 

Dr. Alexander L. Shifrin, (endocrine surgery), has joined the staff of Surgical Associates of CentraState and CentraState Healthcare System in Freehold Township as the surgical director of CentraState’s endocrine program. A board certi­fied endocrine surgeon focusing exclusively on diagnosis and surgical treatment of thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal disease, Shifrin has performed thousands of endocrine surgeries over his career, according to a press release.

“Dr. Shifrin brings nationally renowned expertise in endocrine surgery to our team that will greatly benefit patients in our region, and we are honored he has chosen to practice here,” said Dr. Alexander Itskovich, medical director of the Statesir Cancer Center at CentraState. “He is a thought leader in the field who will bring tertiary endocrine care to our system.”

Shifrin performs innovative techniques in minimally invasive surgeries, including outpatient thyroid and outpatient parathyroid surgery, posterior retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy surgery, minimally invasive video-assisted endoscopic parathyroidectomy, and ultrasound guided FNA thyroid biopsy, according to the press release.

He has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, medical books and atlases, including Atlas of Thyroid Surgery, Atlas of Parathyroid Surgery, Atlas of Adrenal Surgery, Atlas of Parathyroid Imaging and Pathology and Endocrine Emergencies.
