A 23-year-old East Brunswick man suffered serious injuries after his motorcycle was involved in a motor vehicle collision with a sport utility vehicle on Amwell Road near the intersection of Route 206, according to the Hillsborough Township Police Department.
Police responded to the area at approximately 5:17 p.m. on Sept. 2. Upon arrival, the operator of the motorcycle was on the roadway with serious injuries to his left arm and left leg. The operator of the SUV, a 37-year-old Hillsborough man, was not injured, according to police.
Police on scene provided aid to the motorcycle operator while awaiting the arrival of Robert Wood Johnson Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Medics, according to police.
A preliminary investigation determined the operator of the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Amwell Road and the SUV operator was exiting a shopping plaza at the time of the collision, according to police.
The operator of the motorcycle was stabilized and transported to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick by RWJ Medics and EMS, according to police.
The crash remains under investigation by the Hillsborough Township Police Department and Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team.
Hillsborough Township Police, Hillsborough Fire Dept Station 37, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, and Robert Wood Johnson Medics and EMS responded to the motor vehicle collision.
