PENNINGTON- Stephen M. Bratsko, 37, died on Friday, February 17, 2023, at home (Los Angeles). He was born December 2, 1985, in Trenton, NJ and grew up in Pennington, NJ. He moved to Los Angeles during the pandemic.
Our hearts are broken at his sudden passing, and his warmth, kindness, and sense of humor (and infectious giggle) will be missed by all. Steve worked at a number of different jobs. One of his favorite jobs was working at Howell Living Farm, in Titusville, NJ.
He loved working outdoors on the buildings and equipment, and especially enjoyed working on the corn maze. At Howell, Steve learned a lot of skills that he used to help his friends and family with many a household and landscaping project. Steve also worked hard to obtain national referee credentials in epee and foil. For years, he was a regular fixture at local, regional, high school, college, and national fencing competitions. At one point he had a chance to referee in Hungary and France, an accomplishment of which he was proud.
Predeceased by his grandfather, Nicholas Bratsko; he is survived by his wife of 6 months, Alena Savina; his mother, Deborah Bratsko; his twin brother, Nathan Bratsko; his grandmother, Joan Bratsko; his beloved nephews, Nicholas and Octavian Bratsko; his uncle, David Bratsko; and many extended family.
A small family viewing was held at Boyd’s Funeral Home in Los Angeles. A Celebration of Life will be held, in New Jersey, at the family’s convenience.
