A man and a woman from Pemberton were charged with shoplifting for allegedly concealing designer fragrances worth a combined $376.84 in the woman’s purse at the TJ Maxx store on Nassau Park Boulevard Feb. 25. They were processed and released.
Two men attempted unsuccessfully to break into the Family Specialty Pharmacy on Old Trenton Road Feb. 23. They used a mallet, causing damage to the glass and lock on the front door, but did not get inside. The men fled the scene.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a Mitsubishi SUV while it was parked overnight at the Hyatt Regency Hotel between Feb. 17 and Feb. 18.
A Paterson man was arrested as a fugitive from justice and was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was observed walking on Princeton-Hightstown Road Feb. 15. Police officers recognized him from a recent alert issued by the Princeton University Public Safety Department as a person who was wanted for burglary. He allegedly had a glass pipe containing drug residue in his possession. He was turned over to the Princeton University Public Safety Department.
A catalytic converter was stolen from a Honda SUV while it was parked on the front lawn of a home in the Berrien City neighborhood between Feb. 4 and Feb. 11.
Jewelry, cash, designer handbags and designer watches were reported stolen from a house in the Brookline Estates neighborhood Feb. 11. The burglar pried open a second floor window to get inside the house.
A woman reported that someone unzipped her purse and stole her wallet while she was shopping at Trader Joe’s Feb. 7. The wallet contained cash and credit cards.
A Lawrenceville woman was charged with driving while intoxicated Feb. 4 after allegedly falling asleep behind the wheel of her car. A police officer noticed a car was stopped on Clarksville Road in front of the Maurice Hawk Elementary School. The car was running and the transmission was in drive, but the driver was asleep. She was processed and released.
