The Somerset County Clerk’s Office certified general election results on Nov. 22.
Democrats Patricia Taylor Todd and Dennis Ahn have been re-elected to the Montgomery Township Committee.
“Thank you for your support. We are humbled that you trusted us with your votes and honored to continue to serve you,” they wrote on their campaign Facebook page on Nov. 15.
Todd defeated Republican candidate Pam Booth in the general election for a full three-year term on the Township Committee. Todd had received 4,081 votes and Booth earned 2,462 votes in the race.
There were 21 write-in votes cast.
In the race for a one-year term on the Township Committee, Ahn secured 4,092 votes in the race compared to Republican candidate Marion Sanders, who received 2,440 votes.
There were 20 write-in votes.
When Todd is sworn in next year, she will start her first full three-year term on the Township Committee. She was appointed by the Township Committee in late 2022 to replace former Committeewoman Shelly Bell, who had resigned.
Todd serves as liaison to the township’s Inclusion and Equity Committee, Planning Board and Landmarks Commission. She is a volunteer on boards and nonprofits in addition to being an executive coach.
Ahn will serve a one-year term after being appointed earlier this year to fill a vacant seat and unexpired term on the five-member governing body. Former Committeeman Marvin Schuldiner had resigned from his seat in December 2022.
He serves as a liaison to the Economic Development Commission and Shade Tree Committee. Ahn is also a local business owner and U.S. Army veteran.
The Township Committee currently consists of Mayor Devra Keenan, Deputy Mayor Neena Singh, Committeeman Vincent Barragan, Todd, and Ahn.
