A Yamaha ATV valued at $7,500 was reported stolen from the fenced-in yard of a home on Pennington-Rocky Hill Road Dec. 22. The area where the ATV was stored was not visible from the street.
Two shoplifters stole 60 sleeves of bacon, valued at $524.40, from Stop & Shop Dec. 20. Store security officers told police that a man and a woman entered the store, picked up the bacon and left without paying for it.
A Boothwyn, Pa., man was charged with driving under the influence after a police officer observed his vehicle traveling at a low rate of speed and weaving on Scotch Road near Pennington-Titusville Road at 3:02 a.m. Dec. 19. He was also found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was processed and taken to the Mercer County Correction Center.
A vandal cut the wires on a PSE&G utility pole on Bear Tavern Road in an act of criminal mischief Dec. 14. PSE&G received an outage alert at 3 a.m., but did not discover the damaged wires until employees responded for a work order several hours later. Two bolt cutters were found at the scene.
A burglar smashed the passenger side window of a vehicle, reached inside and stole a purse valued at $416, while the vehicle was parked at a Pennington Road home between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 13.
Concrete saws, a rotary saw, a circular saw and a Sawzall were reported stolen from a construction site on East Broad Street in Hopewell Borough Dec. 12. The tools were valued at a combined $5,300.
A Village Square resident reported the theft of contents, valued at $6.88, from a package that was delivered to her home Dec. 11 by the United States Postal Service. The box was open and empty.
A shoplifter stole $616.32 worth of items, including diapers, formula and candy bars, from Stop & Shop Dec. 11. The woman went past the self-checkout register, left the store and got into a car driven by a man and fled the scene.
A woman reported that someone opened a Walmart credit card in her name without her permission Dec. 11. The woman said she received the credit card in the mail, but she had not applied for it. There were no charges on the credit card.
