Mr. Della Pietro, 85, of Keyport, died May 10, 2008, at home. He was a truck driver with Teamsters Local 469, Hazlet, for several years, retiring 22 years ago. He was a founder and charter member of Oak Shades Fire Department, Keyport. He was predeceased by two brothers, Fred and Sam; and three sisters, Rose Ciccone, Philomena Lanzaro and Ann Schwarz. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lucille E. D’Aloia Della Pietro; a son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Laura Della Pietro of Brick; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille and William Lambertson of Matawan, and Antoinette and Allan Leemann of Matawan; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Laverne Della Pietro of Matawan; two sisters, Theresa Esposito andAntoinette Giusti, both ofMatawan; a sister-in-law, Lillian Della Pietro ofMatawan; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.AMass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church,Keyport,with interment at the church’s cemetery.
