Early-bird ornithology boat tours in Toms River
Early Bird Ornithology Boat Tours will depart from Ocean County Park’s Administration Office Boat Dock, Toms River, July 18. Two tours will be offered, 6-8 a.m. and 8:30-10:30 a.m. Participants will cruise on the Betty C pontoon boat, observing nesting egrets, herons and gulls. The program is open to individuals 4 years and older and the fee is $7 per person.

Fishing and crabbing boat tours July 19 and 25
Fishing and crabbing boat tours will leave from the Ocean County Parks Administration Office Boat Dock, Toms River, July 19 and 25. Two tours will be held each day: 8-10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Cattus Island Park’s pontoon boat, the Betty C, will transport participants to crabbing and fishing locations in Silver Bay and Mosquito Cove.
Those wishing to fish should bring poles and bait, and those wishing to crab should bring traps or lines, bait and nets.
