Third annual Senior Lifestyle & Health Expo

  • Deborah Heart & Lung Center, Browns Mills, will present The third annual Senior Lifestyle and Health Expo April 26, at The Ritacco Center, 1245 Old Freehold Road, Toms River, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission and ample parking are free. Exhibits at the expo will focus on both healthy, actively involved seniors along with those concerned with their personal well-being. Exhibits will reflect senior interests, including traveling, exercising, dining out, entertainment, and “toys,” such as dream cars, boats, hot tubs, home entertainment systems, and more.
  • Key-note speakers and representatives from Deborah Heart & Lung Center and various businesses will be on-hand throughout the day to personally answer questions. Silver Threads, a clothing store with multiple Ocean County locations, will host a fashion show. The first thousand people to visit the Toms River Gateway Toyota booth will have a chance to win $25,000.

    Scholarship offered to Lanes Mill School grads

    The Lanes Mill School, PTA, Brick, would like to present a graduating high school senior who was a former student at Lanes Mill School with a $500 scholarship. Applicants must have attended Lanes Mill School for a minimum of three years and they must write a 300-word essay about “what event(s) and/or experience(s) started you in the direction of your career choice?”

    Applications can be obtained from high school guidance offices. Applicants should also include two teacher endorsements, a copy of a college acceptance letter, and a transcript of high school grades. Applications must be returned to guidance offices by May 13.
