A ribbon cutting to mark the completed reconstruction of the Allentown Pond Dam and the replacement of the Allentown Bridge was scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the Allentown Bridge on County Route 524, South Main Street, Allentown.
Vehicle and pedestrian traffic have been using the new bridge since August, and the dam and spillway are now fully operational. Landscaping and the remaining construction closeout items will be completed in the spring.
Members of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders and local officials were expected to attend.
