EATONTOWN – The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has released the name of the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred outside Country Club Apartments late last week.
Charles Webster, public information officer for the prosecutor’s office confirmed on July 13, that Rasheem Palmer, a 37-yearold Red Bank resident, was the man fatally shot and killed in a shooting outside the apartment complex in the early hours of July 10.
As of July 13, no arrests had been made in connection with the incident.
According to Webster, at approximately 12:13 a.m. on July 10, members of the Eatontown Police Department responded to Country Club Apartments on reports of shots being fired.
The apartment building is located at the corner of Tinton Avenue and Country Club Road.
Webster said that upon response, police officers located Palmer, who had been shot, lying in the roadway on Country Club Road.
Shortly after emergency medical services arrived and Palmer was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he was pronounced dead at 2:47 a.m.
A joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Eatontown Police Department is ongoing.
