Mr. Manser, 68, of Howell, died July 30 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Palenville, N.Y., he had lived in Millstone for 25 years before moving to Howell five years ago. He was a self-employed carpenter. Surviving are a niece, Connie Manser of New York; and four nephews, Howard Manser of Florida, Richard (and Michele) Nichols of Jackson, and Charles Manser and Robert (and Rhonda) Nichols, of Howell. A funeral service was held at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia section of Howell, with Chaplain Keith Long officiating. Interment followed at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.
John P. McGough
Mr. McGough, 67, of Freehold Township, died July 28 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived there before moving in 1964 to Freehold Township, where he was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church. A sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, he was a former coach for both the Freehold Township Little League and the Freehold Township Parks and Recreation Department. He was predeceased in 1968 by a son, John Patrick McGough. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Ann Marie McGough; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dr. James J. and Jacqueline McGough of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Thomas M. McGough of Howell, and William J. and Quan D. McGough of Freehold; four daughters and a son-in-law, Dr. Eileen McGough of Freehold, and Susan McGough, Donna M. McGough, and Dianne and Charles Famulare, all of Freehold Township; a brother, James A. McGough of Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.; two sisters, Kathleen Grant of Huntington, Long Island, N.Y., and Virginia Victor of Scarsdale, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren. A funeral Mass was at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia section of Howell, was in charge of arrangements.
Charles Joseph Radziewicz
Mr. Radziewicz, 70, of Manalapan, died July 28 at Harborside Healthcare Center, Bridgewater, after a brief and mysterious neurological illness. Born in Port Carbon, Pa., he had lived in Carteret before moving to Manalapan 39 years ago. Prior to starting his own home-improvement business in Manalapan, he had worked for General Motors Corp., Linden, for 16 years. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Lacey Golf Association. He was predeceased in 1999 by his wife of 43 years, Marie Cizauskas Radziewicz. Surviving are two sons, Charles "Ted" Radziewicz of Manalapan and James Radziewicz of Watertown, Mass.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Jodi Adelman of Branchburg, Chrissy and Greg Couch of Easton, Pa., Debbie and Robert Baliotti of Hamilton, and Sandy and Joe Rapoza of Englishtown; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Albert Radziewicz of Newark, Del., and Joseph and Alice Radziewicz of the Morganville section of Marlboro; three sisters, Katherine Drazenovich and Barbara Smilko, of Pottsville, Pa., and Joan Pretti of New Philadelphia, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, to whom he was "Pop-Pop"; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was offered at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. Interment was private, with Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, in charge of arrangements.
