‘Brookdale Creates,” an exhibition of new work by faculty, adjuncts and learning assistants from a range of departments, is on view in the CVA Gallery at Brookdale Community College through Feb. 27.
Original works of visual art on view are by Tim Burke, David Dziemian, Sid Godwin, Donna Green, Pat Hutchinson, Erik Johanson, Sandy Johanson, Colleen Lineberry, Marie Maber, Geanna Merola, Joel Morgovsky, Nessa Neilson Morse, Ed O’Neill, Mona Pollard, Susan Rosenberg, Dan Schroll, Elizabeth Sowell-Zak, Ed Stein, Stuart Thomas, Lori Uffer, Leslie Vidich, Lucy Wadych-Ketley and Kathleen Ward.
Of special interest are a series of four vintage black-and-white photographs taken in the 1970s by Susan Rosenberg of internationally known Monmouth County sculptor Jim Gary (1939-2006) at work and among his large metal dinosaur sculptures crafted out of metal car parts.
The “Salon des Refuses,” works of art declined by the Monmouth County Arts Council Annual Exhibition, continues its loop for the duration of this exhibition.
