February fundraisers for the third annual Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held Feb. 19, 22 and 27 at different venues in Rumson.
On Feb. 19 at 7 p.m., a traditional Irish Seisiún and Soda Bread Baking Competition will be held at the Oceanic Library, 109 Avenue of Two Rivers, Rumson. There will also be a Michael J. Larkin Essay Competition and an Irish Lecture Series presented by Tracy Handerhan on Grace O’Malley’s “Irish Pirate Queen.”
On Feb. 22, a Val’s Tavern Fundraiser will be held from 1-5 p.m. at 123 E. River Road, Rumson. Music will be provided by Kevin Feehan and Friends and bagpipers. Admission is a requested donation of $10 at the door, which includes a free buffet.
On Feb. 27, a Molly Maguire’s Fundraiser will be held at 8 p.m. at 132 E. River Road, Rumson. The Bloody Callán Band and bagpipers will provide music entertainment. Admission is a requested donation of $10 at the door, which includes a free buffet.
The parade is scheduled for 1 p.m. March 8 and will support two charities — Jason’s Dreams for Kids and Special People United to Ride. For parade information, visit www.rumsonstpatricksdayparade.org.
