Ranney School third-, fourth- and fifthgraders brought smiles to the faces of residents of the Kensington Court Assisted Living Center, Tinton Falls, in May as part of their work in the Lower School Community Service Club. Approximately 20 students participated in a trip to the center, where they helped residents play a horseracing bingo game. They also delivered handmade cards and flowers to the residents.
The visit to Kensington was one of many community service projects that the club has carried out during the 2012-13 school year.

Close to 300 “grandfriends” visited the Rumson Country Day School to join their grandchildren for a day at school on April 26. A tradition for more than a decade, the event honors students’ extended families and their contributions to Rumson County Day School. Guests were welcomed with a breakfast and musical performance by the students, followed by classroom visits and a luncheon. The event also featured a student art show, a vocal performance by the girls’ and boys’ choirs, and an instrumental performance by the Upper and Lower School bands. A Summer Reading List Book Fair sponsored by the Parent Council was held.
