Arlene Ferrante

Mrs. Ferrante, 72, of Toms River, died Oct. 24, 2007, at home. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she had lived in Woodcliff Lake before moving to Toms River 15 years ago. She was a former communicant of Our Lady Mother of the Church, Woodcliff Lake, and St. Luke’s Church, Toms River. Mrs. Ferrante was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1990, as well as a daughter, Susan, in 1962. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Ferrante of Old Tappan and James Ferrante of Fairfield, Conn.; two daughters, Patricia Mulvey of Manalapan and Pamela Campbell of Allentown; a brother, John Herman of Cape Coral, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at Our Lady Mother of the Church, followed by interment at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

Irene W. Hannon

Mrs. Hannon, 98, of Neptune City, died Oct. 24, 2007, at the Geraldine L. Thompson Monmouth County Care Center, Wall Township. She was born in Manalapan and had resided there for most of her life before moving to Neptune City in 1978. Prior to retiring in 1972, Mrs. Hannon worked as the registrar of vital statistics and deputy tax collector for Manalapan Township for 10 years. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Perrineville section of Millstone. Mrs. Hannon was predeceased by her first husband, Daniel Hardy, and her second husband, Edward Hannon. She was also predeceased by six sisters, Louise W. Zolzer, Helen W. Tighe, Margaret W. Murphy, Jane W. Perdoni, Anne W. Brawley and Ellen White; and two brothers, William H. and Frederick J. White. Surviving are five nieces. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
