Mrs. Quirke, 90, of Hazlet, died Jan. 28, 2009, at home. Before her retirement in 1983, she was a secretary at Chase Manhattan Bank and then Mitsui Imports, both New York City. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Fitzpatrick, in 1963; and her husband, John F. Quirke, in 1999. Mrs. Quirke is survived by three sons and daughters in-law, Gerard and Carol Fitzpatrick of Virginia Beach, Va., John and Debbie Fitzpatrick of Brooklyn, N.Y., and James and Margaret Fitzpatrick of Hazlet; seven daughters and five sonsin law, Anne Rehm of Brick, Jane and Alfred Peavy of Phoenicia, N.Y., Mary and Sam Sulsky of Brooklyn, Patricia and Tom Sooy of Palm Harbor, Fla., Eileen and Ed Shown of Morganville, Veronica Fitzpatrick of Tampa, Fla., and Joan and Rick Berardo of Rumson; two stepchildren, William and Deborah Quirke, both of New York; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment was at Cemetery of the Resurrection, Staten Island, N.Y.
