Charles Hein Jr.

Mr. Hein, 90, of Howell, died May 17, 2009, at home. He had lived in Lakewood before moving to Howell in 1962. Mr. Hein, a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, was the co-founder and operator of JAC Service Company, Howell, along with his brothers-in-law, Andrew and Jesse Nuccio. He retired in 1984. Mr. Hein was a member of the VFW, Post 9691, Farmingdale, and a charter and life member of the Elks Lodge #2515, Howell. He was predeceased by a brother, John Hein and a sister, Margaret Wilson. Surviving is his wife of 67 years, Marion; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tina Hein of Kingsport, Tenn.; three daughters and sons-inlaw, Irene Smolney and Charles V. Bell Jr. of Tinton Falls, Marie and Gary Radford of Morristown, and Theresa and Gerard Stafford-Smith of New York City; a brother, Paul Hein of Jackson; a sister, Adeline Megill of Howell; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
