The Arts Coalition of Asbury Park (ArtsCAP) is hosting the opening-night reception for artist Olympia Hostler’s Liquid Life Collection of unique acrylic paintings. The reception is Saturday, Sept. 6, 6-9 p.m. at Core Restore, 630 Mattison Ave. in Asbury Park. The show will be on display through Oct. 26 and a portion of the sales will benefit ArtsCAP.

Hostler is a healing artist who is a certified yoga instructor and massage therapist and has teamed with Core Restore to provide visitors with a unique pairing of visual and healing arts and personal training.

In an artist statement, she explains, "Combining visual and healing arts into an expression of peace to all who experience these offerings is my intention. The visual

art that is presented here includes liquid acrylic paintings, watercolor paintings, mixed-media paintings and photographs.

"Energetic motion and vitality are prominent features of the art. Some paintings jump, while others seem to flow eloquently off the canvas. Influenced by growing up on an island and living on or near water most of my life, the art that I create often embodies the graceful, flowing and sinuous nature of water … . The paintings live, breathe and exude water, fire and earth elements."
