J A Joshi, author of the historical fiction novel “Follow the Cowherd Boy,” will appear at Borders Express, Monmouth Mall, Eatontown, at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, to sign copies of her novel. The event is part of her Northeast tour. The novel is set in 16th-century India and is based on the true-life story of the female folk hero Mira.
New Jersey Repertory Company, 179 Broadway in Long Branch, will present the world premiere of “Poetic License” by Jack Canfora, Sept. 4 through Oct. 5. “Poetic License” is a biting comic-drama about greed, ambition and madness that grapples with the consequences of a long-forgotten and repressed incident that comes back to haunt a family in an unexpected way.
