“Towards San Georgio” World of “A World of Radiance” will run through July 18, at the gallery, located at 16 Monmouth St.
This is the first East Coast gallery solo show for Halperin, a New Jersey native who is currently based in St. Louis,Mo.
According to the gallery Web site, Halperin’s work has been influenced by his friendship and collaboration with acclaimed photographer Ernst Haas.
“Ernst searedmy eye, heart and soulwith color. He showed me you don’t have to be technical in your approach to work – be fluid, take a chance with your colors, be bold in moving beyond reality and into abstraction,” Halperin states. “Don’t just use your imagesmerely to document, but use themto ask questions.
“Photographers are painters in a hurry, and though we create that image in an instant,we still have the same obligation to attend to every element of the frame’s canvas.”
Halperin is represented by galleries from coast to coast, and hiswork hangs in many private and corporate collections.
