YMCA supports ‘strong kids’

Red Bank – On March 7 and 8, local singer/songwriters and emerging teen musicians will be taking the stage for two evenings of music that will benefit The Community YMCA’s annual Strong Kids Campaign. Shows are scheduled for Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8, at Diney’s Place, home of the Children’s Cultural Center, 51 Monmouth St., Red Bank.

The March 7 show will feature a coffeehouse format and music by local musicians Carl Gentry, Ronnie Brandt and Rick Dill. Show time is 7:30 p.m.

The March 8 show will spotlight talented teenage soloists and bands including: Phoebe Ryan, Mimi Raver, Cara Salimando, Amplified Overdrive, Rivalries and Blackwood Vibe. Show time is 7 p.m.P

roceeds from the music series will benefit The Community YMCA’s annual campaign that raises funds for YCares, a financial assistance program that provides scholarships to families and individuals who otherwise would not be able to pay the full price for YMCA programs and services.
