Mr. Villa, 78, of Forked River, died Nov. 11, 2007, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Hoboken, he resided in Jersey City and Hazlet, prior to relocating to Forked River 15 years ago. He was a systems tester at Western Electric, Kearny. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Barnegat. He was an active member of the Elks of Forked River, former member of the Holmdel Kiwanis, and former president of Central Shore Chapter of Deborah Hospital. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elvira “Vera” Daguanno Villa in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy “Dottie” Simons-Gnewcenski Villa; three sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph N. and Geraldine Perno Villa of Colts Neck, James and Katherine Villa of South Brunswick, and Andrew and Susanne Villa of Tinton Falls; a daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and James McMahon of Hazlet; and 12 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
