Traitors in control in U.S. Congress

Response to “Dissent is not treason” (March 8)

If anyone is sick and tired, it’s those of us who know traitors are in control in Congress. Pelosi is not merely voicing opposition to the plan of the administration, she and her crew actually have the power to vote for cutting funding to our troops, and that to me is giving “aid and comfort to the enemy.”

It is certainly not patriotic to seek our defeat in Iraq. How many times do we have to hear “We cannot win?” Now tell me that’s patriotic.

As our men and women who volunteered to serve our country are fighting, the Pelosi Pack is seeking defeat. You don’t think the enemy loves to hear these statements? I unashamedly and without apology fully question her patriotism.

A quote from Ms. Pelosi, “The war in Iraq is not a war to be won but a situation to be solved.”

Excuse me, a “situation”? So it was a situation on Sept. 11, 2001? It was a “situation” when the USS Cole was attacked in 1993? That is the problem with them Dems … no backbone … cut and run … coddle the enemy … blame George Bush … blame everyone else but themselves.

If you recall, it was Bill Clinton who slashed the budget of the military (that he said he “loathed”) and left us unprepared for what was ahead. Thank God George Bush was the president on Sept. 11, 2001, and not Nancy Pelosi types.

“To misunderstand the nature and threat of evil is to risk being blindsided by it.” (Joel Rosenberg, author of Epicenter: Why the Current Rumblings in the Middle East Will Change Your Future”). Mr. Caulfield and those of us who agree with him will not be blindsided. We see what is ahead. I hope for all our sakes that those who think like you wake up and see it too.
