Millstone residents should
exercise their voting rights

Once again there was a full house at the Millstone Township Commit-tee meeting held on Oct. 4. The thunderstorm outside had nothing on the timbre within the walls of the meeting house. May I say both entities put on a good show.

The highlight of the evening, in my opinion, was Mark Cascella’s lengthy speech regarding reasons for not passing the newly written ordinance 00.26, which defines the new zoning in our community. However, Mr. Cascella’s oration, or what I call "filibustering," failed to do the trick. The vote was taken on the above mentioned ordinance, and it did indeed pass.

The original purpose of my letter, however, is not to pass judgment on Mr. Cascella’s actions, but to remind the people of the upcoming election on Nov. 7. This is a very important election, not only for our nation but for our own township. I urge all of those who vote within our community to visit your designated voting place and exercise your right to vote.

Last but not least, for excellent leadership in local government right here in Millstone, find the names of the two individuals who stand out, not only on the roster, but for having been responsible for good, clean government, and believe in "… government, of the people, by the people, and for the people": Charles Abate and Cory Wingerter for township committeemen.
