Puttin’ on the Ritz Gala Cocktail Party tonight

180, Turning Lives Around, Hazlet, will present the third annual Puttin’ on the Ritz Gala Cocktail Party Oct. 18 from 7-10 p.m. at the second floor atrium at the Galleria, West Front Street, Red Bank. Cost is $75 per person.

The event is a fund-raiser to support 180’s Puttin’ on the Ritz Resale Boutique.

The menu will include appetizers, pastas and desserts.

Jazz music will be provided by Hollie Baines.

The 26th annual meeting of 180, Turning Lives Around will be Oct. 23 from 6-9 p.m. at Branches, 123 Monmouth Road, West Long Branch.

Cost is $35 per person.

Topics to be discussed will be the increase in hotline calls and the statistics for previous Fiscal Year 2002.

League’s chocolate extravaganza Nov. 16

The Junior League of Monmouth County (JLMC) will hold its "Chocolate Extravaganza–An Evening of Indulgence" Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Taylor Butler House, 127 Kings Highway, Middletown.

The event will feature appetizers, desserts, and a silent auction.

Proceeds will benefit various JLMC community programs.

Presbytery ‘Reformation Celebration’ Oct. 27

The First Presbyterian Church at Red Bank – Tower Hill, 255 Harding Road, will present "A Reformation Celebration" Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary.

The free event will feature the presbytery of Monmouth and Tower Hill churches.

Music will be provided by choirs from churches in the Monmouth presbytery, the Bethany ringers from Tower Hill, and a brass ensemble.

Guest preacher will be the Rev. Leonora Tubbs Tisdale.

Shrewsbury gallery slates Nov. 2 reception

The Guild of Creative Art, 620 Broad St., Shrewsbury, will show works by exhibiting and associate members in its main gallery Nov. 2-Dec. 3.

An opening reception will be Nov. 3 from 3-5 p.m.

Also at the guild will be work by artists who have achieved exhibiting or associate status through a jurying process.

The works will be exhibited Nov. 11-Dec. 3.
