‘Ironbound Crooner’ to perform at library

Singer and composer John Padovano will present a free concert beginning at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Old Bridge Public Library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road.

Padovano, a native of Newark, is known as “The Ironbound Crooner” and performs original music and poetic songs. His show, titled “Poesia and Chanson,” will feature the tale of Padovano’s family emigrating from Italy to Newark and his return to his boyhood neighborhood to perform his music.

The concert is part of the library’s Second Saturday concert series.
