The League of Women Voters, which believes hands-on work safeguards democracy and leads to civic improvement, is sponsoring a free workshop on how to better observe government.
The public forum at 7 p.m. Aug. 10 in MAS 100 at Brookdale Community College will help the average person keep tabs on local government, taxes, property values, and public education. The training session on how, where, and when to observe governing bodies will feature Monmouth County Clerk Claire French.
