Candidate defines success

as support received Nov. 7

Success can be defined and measured differently depending on one’s perspective and objectives. Although I was not victorious in my bid to become a Millstone Township committeewoman, nonetheless I consider my campaign successful.

I sought office through an issues-based endeavor on my part. As a result, I garnered 1,252 votes. Those who voted for me perhaps believed that I was a credible and capable person whose platform for sustainable growth best addressed their needs and values.

To me, that is success. Having shown well against two popular incumbents is a considerable achievement as well.

For those who voted for me, I thank you for your vote of confidence. For those who voted for another, I thank you for your consideration.
