The Sayreville War Memorial High School (SWMHS) class of 1988 will host a Night Out at the Ballpark fundraiser 7:05 p.m. June 19 at TD Bank Ballpark, Somerset section of Franklin. The event, which will feature a Somerset Patriots vs. Newark Bears game, will raise money for the Michael Robert Damato Memorial Fund.
Michael was 12 years old when he passed away unexpectedly in January. His parents, SWMHS class of 1988 graduates, established a memorial fund in their son’s name in hope of recognizing deserving individuals through grants. The fund will support academic excellence, provide financial support for families in need and fund community endeavors.
Tickets cost $25 each and include a lower-level seat and $5 in “Diamond Dollars” that can be spent anywhere in the stadium. For more information or to reserve, email mrdfundraiser@ gmail.com.
