Good wishes and support
for band were appreciated
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and good wishes as the Allentown High School Redbird Marching Band set off for finals on Nov. 5 in Scranton, Pa. Your luck was with us as the band placed first and was awarded the championship in their division.
Congratulations to the band and to Peter and Jean Mauro for their dedication and untiring devotion.
It was an honor to have the Allentown First Aid Squad escort us back to the high school on Sunday night. Thank you for your support. You’re truly are the best band in the land. Thank you for making us the proudest parents.

I am sickened at the meanness and ugliness of this year’s Millstone campaign. I would expect such dirty politics to occur in a major city, but Millstone?
As for the anonymous Millstone Residents Reporting on Local Government Activities — your back-stabbing tactics are as dirty as those of the politicians you claim to expose. If you want to participate in the political process, do so in an above-board manner.
What sort of example do you think all of you are setting for the youngsters of this town, whose well-being some of you say you care about?
On Nov. 7, I had to vote for two of you. I did so reluctantly and with every intention of booting you all out of office at the next opportunity.
I am putting out a call to all Millstone residents who feel the same way. Let’s identify a few new, qualified candidates who are willing to run for office at the next election, so we can get our town government back into good hands.
